What’s theWAHMmagazine?

TheWAHMmagazine (ISSN 1940-316X) is the first and only content-driven digital magazine for work-at-home parents. Launched in January 2008, it was created by a work-at-home mom and most of its staff writers are work-at-home parents. TheWAHMmagazine is dedicated to validating, empowering, encouraging, educating and supporting work-at-home parents.

Why digital? Because theWAHMmagazine is also an eco-friendly publication, and allows us to create a rich multimedia experience for work-at-home parents that goes beyond text. As Peter Winn stated about digital editions in the Wed., May 28 edition of USA Today, “It’s a cost-effective way to get an issue to a subscriber who wants it immediately.” And, as digital editions take a larger and more prominent place in the market share and technology for e-readers, epaper and other paperless devices becomes more standardized, having digital editions will be as simple as loading music onto your MP3 player. We want to be part of that as a key voice for the work-at-home industry.

TheWAHMmagazine is a bi-monthly publication that’s geared for your complete lifestyle as a work-at-home parent. I’m a WAHM and business owner and my husband is a WAHD who telecommutes, so we get the challenges that work-at-home parents can face. I’ve designed theWAHMmagazine just for you—the work-at-home parent. So whether you just read the blog, or subscribe to the magazine, come along, join us on our journey and make theWAHMmagazine part of your life — it’s a solid investment in achieving the type of balanced lifestyle that work-at-home parents seek.
